Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field and a CADC or LPC (LCPC/LCSW preferred). A minimum of three years' experience in Behavioral Health or a related area. Must possess a strong work ethic, analytical and organizational skills, knowledge of behavioral health, including substance use disorders, and a professional demeanor. Specific experience with quality assurance and/or quality improvement and utilization review is required. Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting PI data and for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring clinical quality and compliance for the Agency. Knowledge of The Joint Commission, Behavioral Health standards, Division of Human Services, Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) standards, ASAM criteria, Rule 132 and 140, and HIPAA Rules and Regulations. Experience with completing a successful record audit and site survey from various licensure bodies. Experience with Electronic Health Records. A valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance are required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Good organization skills, and ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Good short-term memory, good verbal communication skills, and ability to provide and follow effectively written and verbal instructions. Must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, adaptable, and detail orientated. Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Sitting, standing, and walking short distances are activities that the Compliance Officer must perform.

Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, The Compliance Officer assures that the Agency remains in compliance with The Joint Commission accreditation standards, 2060 SUPR licensing requirements, safety regulations, HIPAA regulations, and the overall standards of operations. Implements and monitors HEDIS Measures as determined appropriate. Regularly conducts Electronic Health Record audits to assure compliance. Oversees and implements the Agency Performance Improvement Plan and indicators. Based on findings assist in determining the Agency’s performance improvement priorities and goals.
