With functions spanning global business and consumer marketing, consumer insights, creative, brand marketing, and marketing operations, the team creates marketing initiatives across the entire Snap Inc. ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Community Wellbeing Marketing Lead to guide our trust, safety, DEI initiatives/campaigns on Snapchat and off platform. In close partnership with Policy, Communications and IDEA teams, this Marketing Lead will be a thoughtful and strategic go-to-market leader, responsible for crafting our external narrative and creative to support Snap’s product and program roadmap supporting the wellbeing of the global Snapchat community. They should be an independent thinker, and an ace collaborator who can take complex ideas and bring them to life in a matrixed organization.
What you’ll do:
  • Narrative building: Craft informed narratives that support our community wellbeing priorities in trust, safety and DEI that align with our Snap values, product roadmap and community insight.
  • Creative briefing & feedback: Partner with both internal creative team, and external partners to ensure we’re providing succinct brand direction and feedback when needed to shape the work.
  • Strategy: Pitch and build holistic Marketing go-to-market strategies and campaign ideas that are rooted in consumer, cultural, and channel insights. Your narratives and strategies should bring consistent value to our communities, drive positive conversation about our brand, and drive long-term business impact.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate and lead cross-functionally across the company, Communications, Policy, IDEA, Product, etc. to generate integrated Marketing campaigns.
  • External Partner Coordination: Work with and act as a leader to agency partners, brand partners, talent/creators, or other organizations central to social activations.
  • Measurement and insights: Partner with our Marketing Insights team to develop a learning strategy across Community wellbeing marketing calendar. Lead up the dissemination of campaign insights and quarterly OKR reporting on campaigns, community needs, and audience behaviors to help drive strategic decision-making and optimizations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of the social media policy landscape; both short and long-term trends
  • Advocate for integrated and inclusive go-to-market/campaign strategies
  • Affinity for challenging conventions, and can communicate effectively at all levels
  • Skilled at clearly communicating learnings and ideas through deck presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Minimum qualifications:
  • 6+ years of relevant consumer marketing experience
  • Experience working with policy teams, and understanding of the social media landscape
  • Experience working in matrix organization with collaborative mindset
  • Experience working with global lifestyle or consumer tech brand
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working with global brands specifically in social good, community or DEI related programs
  • Experience crafting nuanced narratives with consumer insight in mind
  • Strong strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail
  • An inclusive team player with an open mindset
Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC)
    : The base salary range for this position is $130,000-190,000 annually
  • Zone B
    : The base salary range for this position is $124,000-181,000 annually
  • Zone C
    : The base salary range for this position is $111,000-162,000 annually
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
