Job description

Looking for a responsible adult to provide support with skill building and supervision for an individual with development disabilities in the Tioga County area. The candidate for this position will need to ensure the promotion of choice and protective oversight while demonstrating compliance with all Springbrook and OPWDD policies.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or equivalent

-Experience with individuals who are developmentally disabled is preferred

-Must be able to lift 50 Ibs. Independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 Ibs.

-Must have a valid driver’s license and must be willing to be able to provide transportation to person receiving services.

-Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

-Professional verbal and written communication skills.

-Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software

Duties:

-Assist individual with learning safety skills in the community and at home

-Assist individual with learning independent living skills

-Provide advocacy in community settings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.94 - $20.00 per hour
