Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) has an immediate opening for a Community Engagement Specialist. This key position will be based out of the employee’s home office, which will need to be located within Malheur, Union or Wallowa Counties in Oregon.

The Community Engagement Specialist works with the Coordinated Care Organization, Community Health Manager and GOBHI’s Field Team to plan and develop strategies to support Eastern Oregon CCO Regional and Local efforts to improve community health care.

Essential duties include:

• EOCCO Regional Community Engagement with focused outreach to key stakeholders;
• Provides leadership and direction to Local Community Health Partnerships (LCHP;
• Provides assistance with the Community Advisory Council (CAC);
• Provides EOCCO OHP membership outreach by working in collaboration with LCHP/CAC leaders;
• Provides team support to meet OHA contractual requirements related to LCHP/CACs, i.e. CHP, CHA, CAC Demographics report, Charters, and LCHP/CAC required reporting;
• Works closely with Moda Quality Improvement team, on behalf of EOCCO, in its endeavor to meet OHA metrics targets with a focus on DHS assessments for children entering foster care;
• Serves as EOCCO Early Learning Hub Liaison, ensuring productive and effective partnerships with Early Learning Hubs and broader early learning community;
• Drives to meetings and other GOBHI locations as needed;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What is needed to succeed in this role:

• Five or more years experience in community health or administration;
• Knowledge about unique challenges and concerns experienced by Eastern Oregonians, including culturally and ethnically diverse communities and tribal nations;
• Skilled at collaborating with community partners and stakeholders;
• Strong self-motivation and leadership skills;
• Technology savvy, proficient using MS software or Google Suites products;
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels;
• Strong planning and organizational skills;
• Maintains good driving record and required vehicle insurance;
• Candidate must be a part of the BIPOC community;
• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Education, Community Health, or related field or equivalent experience required;
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
