Ellucian is seeking a spunky, dynamic, self-motivated Internal Communications Specialist to join our energetic, agency-like Corporate Communications team!

Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications, you will play a critical role in bringing the Ellucian story to life through a variety of internal communications channels and mediums including written, video, and audio. Most importantly, you will help ensure our narrative is authentic and celebrates our purpose, culture of belonging, and people.

This role requires a disciplined work ethic, flexibility, creativity, and the desire and ability to gain a deep understanding of the business and how we produce memorable content and experiences. This is a unique opportunity for a versatile multimedia storyteller who is passionate about creating compelling narratives to join a highly collaborative team at the helm of driving transformational change in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Where you will make an impact

• Conceptualize and edit content for Ellucian’s weekly employee newsletter.
• Write and produce stories using a variety of media, including articles, videos, and audio to help drive talent attraction and engagement programs and activities.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Marketing, and the broader People team to support campaigns and initiatives.
• Conduct research and present strategic recommendations on communications and industry best practices.
• Bring storytelling to life through creative and compelling assets including visualization, video, verbal, written, and graphic communications.
• Support executive communications, social media, and virtual/in-person events as needed.

What you will bring

• 1-2 years of professional communications experience.
• Boundless imagination, creativity, and energy – with a natural curiosity and an appetite for building impactful stories and content.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required, as this position will require ample amounts of writing and working cross-collaboratively with all areas of the business.
• Superior organization skills and attention to detail, as well as general marketing and business acumen.
• The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy is required, as is exercising good judgment.
• Strong time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing/shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with modern tech platforms like Adobe Creative Suite and Slack.
