As a part of the OLMC & DBM team, the Communications & Development Coordinator is the driving force behind the public relations, communications, and marketing of OLMC to ensure that people know and are excited about who we are and what we are doing. Building from this enthusiasm, the coordinator will then lead our development and fundraising efforts and strategies to fund the operations of DBM (including OLMC) & OLMC capital projects.

Essential Duties:

• Communications
• Coordinate communications that pertain to the whole Dry Bones Ministries organization (other individuals handle the specific marketing & communications for DBM's non-OLMC programs/events/initiatives)
• Develop and implement marketing strategies for OLMC programs and facilities.
• Create flyers, posters, social media, and other graphic designs to support OLMC's marketing and ministry efforts.
• Oversee and manage OLMC's social media accounts in a way that engages each platform's target audiences. This includes the coordination of regular posts on each relevant platform as well as tracking the engagement of posts and reacting/responding to comments & messages.
• Partner with parishes to ensure that they are aware of, and able to promote, OLMC programs & initiatives.
• Keep OLMC's website up to date, appealing, and effective.

Development-The development work covers the entirety of DBM. The bulk of the operating budget and all capital projects are a part of OLMC, but the development efforts are united.

• Lead the creation & implementation of our strategy for development/fund raising.
• Oversee fundraising efforts to ensure meeting the goals necessary for our operating budget
• Coordinate targeted giving campaigns
• Manage any future capital campaign
• Manage donor lists & Communications
• Identify and engage new donors
• Ensure proper tracking, documentation, and thanking for each gift
• Coordinate donor visits to OLMC & meetings with donors off-site.
• Oversee the raising of capital funds for building projects
• Find and apply for appropriate grants
• Coordinate all details for fundraising events

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversees volunteers as it pertains to development events & tasks
• Oversees future young adult missionaries in their work with social media, marketing, & development

Qualification Requirements:

• Has an active faith in Jesus Christ, His Holy Catholic Church, and zeal for the Gospel
• Knowledgeable of Development/fundraising/CRM software & tools
• Has a keen eye for graphic design and the ability to create high quality posters, flyers, social media, & websites
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Possesses warm and effective interpersonal skills
• Detail Oriented
• Organizational management skills
• In cooperation with the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh and the State of Pennsylvania, will be required to have current clearances to work with youth
