Communication Specialist

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Communication Specialist, are to:

• Participation in forums and relationship activities contributing to the internal and external site relationship plan;
• Responsible for implementing and managing corporative directives for site communication;
• Partner with of local community committee, managing, and leading group actions;
• Partner with internal local volunteer groups to implement communication as needed;
• Facilitate communications with local outreach committees;
• Prepare monthly reports for global, corporate, and local;
• Manage department costs according to budget;
• Guarantee compliance with corporate communication guidelines, process, and procedures;
• Consult with site leadership regarding campaigns for department projects;
• Adhere to communication guidelines;
• Liaison for communication agency contract, if applicable;
• Member of Crisis Committee, guaranteeing effective communication between Bayer and its main stakeholders in case of emergency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or 5 years of related experience in communications;
• Use of communication methods, software, and digital solutions;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management;
• Marketing training;
• Creativity, ability to move ideas and concepts into communication tools;
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and regional and global teams;
• Excellent interpersonal and proven leadership skills with the ability to work seamlessly across all levels of the organization and employee groups;
• Identify new areas for value creation and both define and implement functional plans;
• Ability to lead, influence, and facilitate teams as well as work independently;
• Willing to learn and implement corporate internal and external communication strategies;
