Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinates the Commissioning of complex projects in which are assigned more Commissioning Managers or cluster of projects in the same area (located closely);
  • Leads commissioning of utility-scale solar l projects ensuring compliance with the program and the safety procedures and quality standards required;
  • Prepares detailed schedule of the commissioning and start-up activities according to the project schedule;
  • Prepares and documents commissioning and energization procedures;
  • Creates the documentation for the delivery of plants to O&M;
  • Manages contracts for specialist assistance at testing;
  • Analyzes and optimizes the performances and production until the provisional or final handover to Operations and Maintenance (O&M);
  • Prepares detailed schedule of the commissioning and start-up activities according to the project schedule;
  • Oversee the teams work and coordinates the project teams (including contractor commissioning personnel involved in the project assembly) of more than one Project in the same area;
  • Manages the testing, commissioning and start-up of high, medium, and low voltage and DC equipment/electrical and electronic systems in compliance with the reference standards, project schedule and the safety and quality standards in force.

What You've Accomplished

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
  • 5+ years of experience managing or supervising mechanical/electrical/construction/commissioning of the systems of production or similar fields (mechanical, paper-textile, chemical, petrochemical, energy, etc.);
  • Skilled in project management practices and problem solving;
  • Knowledge of the logic of electrical equipment protection (protection logic of electrical machinery) and related instrumentation and relays setting;
  • Knowledgeable of commissioning reporting activities;
  • Ability to carry out the commissioning and start-up of the plant components according to the commissioning, start-up, operation and maintenance manuals;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct any fault or deficiency;
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage and cooperate effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams to carry out tasks and provide practical support throughout the commissioning and ramp-up phase of all plants;
  • Superior organizational skills and detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality;
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills;
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change;
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects;
  • Highly developed business acumen;
  • Ability to work within a global framework and a matrix organization;
  • Ability in working within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams;
  • Fluent in English is required, Spanish is considered a plus;
  • Frequent travel both domestically and internationally;
  • A valid driver’s license operable in all 50 states and a clean driving record. A clean driving records means:
  • In the last 3 years, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents.
  • In the last 5 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $160,000.00 per year
