SUMMARY: Provides timely, high quality customer service to underwriters and agents by screening, rating, and entering all commercial account transactions. Handles a large territory, premium and quote volume.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Applies good decision-making skills in response to inbound calls and emails regarding policy changes, renewals, NB/quotes, or other inquiries on processing.
  • Assists others in the department as needed to meet department service standards and ensures efficient operation of the department.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with our business partners.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in rating and processing of all lines of business.
  • Embraces a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI) and actively identifies opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and decrease waste, aiding in expense reductions for Commercial Lines.
  • Executes pricing on behalf of and in conjunction with the Commercial Lines strategy.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of ISO and underwriting rules, rating and coverage forms. Possesses an in-depth knowledge of department workflow and procedures.
  • Responsible for understanding, assisting and problem solving for agents and Enterprise as needed. Utilizes analytical skills to problem solve/research and handle/report rating inconsistencies.
  • Reviews and handles all transaction types within the highest delegated authority.
  • Utilizes and adapts quickly to automation/new processes including working with Microsoft 365 Applications.
  • Quote and/or enter transactions for all commercial lines of business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness as set by department standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE COMPANY:

High school diploma or equivalent. 1-5 years commercial lines technician experience desired. Must possess excellent communication, data entry, analytical and organizational skills. The desired candidate must be dependable (with excellent attendance), present a professional image, able to follow through on their own initiatives, and able to complete multiple tasks within established deadlines. Must have the willingness and ability to give, receive, and apply feedback. Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible with tasks due to increased knowledge base. Proficient with personal computers and desktop applications. Willingness to participate in mentorship, continuing education and/or training.
