Position Description
Independent agency / retail insurance broker is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with commercial lines insurance experience. This individual will be supporting production staff in their servicing of commercial clients and prospects. Position is a customer service focused position (some cross-selling/account rounding). This position will be handling primarily small to mid market commercial client accounts from various commercial industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare marketing submissions for new business and account business
- Prepare new business and account renewal proposals
- Enter and maintain account data within agency management system
- Support Producer &/or Client Executive in day to day servicing client accounts, including direct contact with clients and insurance underwriters.
- Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, and endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations
- Develop strong relationships with various company marketing representatives and underwriters
- Develop strong relationships & trust with clients, producers, and fellow employees
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage & rating
- Strong team collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in team environment when necessary
- Ability to consistently process transactions accurately
- Knowledge of agency management systems (Applied TAM or EPIC, or AMS 360).
- Competent in use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Property and Casualty license
- Insurance designations are preferred, but not mandatory (CISR, CIC, ARM, CRM, AINS, etc)
