Experienced programmer and set up operator needed.

We are looking for skilled and experienced CNC Machine Program Operators for our machine Department. A CNC machinist should possess manual dexterity, good math skills and have a mechanical aptitude that includes prior experience using micrometers and calipers. A machinist will be expected to make precision parts in tolerance to specs which includes reading blueprints and first article inspections, while consistently and accurately meeting production quotas. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure effective production operations and optimize procedures to make the company and yourself profitable. I will pay you for what you know and what you can do.

CNC Machinist:

• Set up and program machines to start a production cycle daily
• Control and adjust machine settings, tool changing, and machine programming is a must.
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision, measuring tools to meet blue print dimensions
• Create programs, offsets tooling while adjusting machine parameters
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products, must have a 97% efficiency rating on finished parts
• Maintain daily activity logs and worksheets

Programmer:

• Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of blueprints to program a machine to run
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job in minimal time
• Read and understand blue prints, create code, and change programming when needed.
• Select appropriate programs to be quality minded while striving for productivity
• Determine and program proper tool path, correct cut ins, determine tools to get the job done correctly in the fastest way possible.
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, speeds and program if needed
• Check all parts to print and program while keeping area neat and clean.
• Keep records of approved parts and defects of final products.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor modifications.
• Keep all machine guards and safety measures in place.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as programming operator
• Experience in programming modern CNC Mills or Lathes
• Ability to use precision tools, micrometer, Master Cam or solid works programs
• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Good at math with analytical abilities
• Physical stamina and strength to lift fixtures and stand on concrete for long periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset both in wages and placement. The more experience, education and knowledge, the more you will get paid.

• Manual machining, experienced on the job training of manual lathe and mill a plus
• 5+ years of CNC machining mandatory
