We are hiring a Machine Operator Lathe for Composite Manufacturing Inc., located in San Clemente. We are a established company that focuses its development and manufacturing efforts toward the medical market with emphasis on the surgical arena.
Job Overview:
The lathe machinist will fabricate parts made of different materials metal, plastic, carbon fiber, etc. Machinists will set up and operate machinery which will require manual and computer skills to ensure specifications are met. Hours are1:45pm to 10:15pm Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform precise cuts to create tools, molds, and other parts for products.
- Work with close tolerances
- Loads lathe programs
- Read blueprints and make calculations
- Use multiple machining centers, measuring parts to verify conformance
- Use tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and maintaining all tooling throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure maintenance on machines is clean for use
Competencies
- Lathe machinist experience
- CNC operator experience helpful
- GD&T experience helpful
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Experience working with heavy equipment machinery
- Familiar with Haas, Okuma and/or Mazak machinery essential
- Ability to work closely with carbon fiber and composite metals
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
