Inviting applications for the role of CMM Operator In this role, you will engage with Engineering operations leaders and teams to establish sustainable CMM operating processes for the maintenance, ongoing repair and overhaul of current activities for Aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in handling CMM Machines for measurements and inspections.
  • Performs layout inspection of parts, assemblies, and inspection fixtures and gages using a Coordinate.
  • Measuring Machine or other appropriate measuring devices.
  • Inspect manufactured parts to ensure that hole locations, contour measurements, and shapes conform, within prescribed tolerances, to part print specifications, using coordinate measuring machine and working to Automotive common tolerances.
  • Create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the CMM.
  • Create program set-up and execution documentation.
  • Working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
  • Conduct miscellaneous surface plate inspections and hand-held gage setup/calibration as required.
  • Investigate instances of mismeasurement; to identify research, analyze, and report measurement problems.
  • Must be able to interact and assist with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel in regard to part conformance and process capability.
  • Understands, implements, and maintains the Company's quality policy through the performance of all duties and responsibilities to insure accuracy.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Engineering, Aviation, Manufacturing from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, ability to document, plan and execute programs.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, strong database management skills.
  • Strong oral, written communication skills, excellent customer relationship building skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills Preferred qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability of presentation skills and knowledge of MS office suite.
  • Strong data Acumen, Analytical capability, and data entry/ analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and influence customer and peers.
  • Demonstrated capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma / Process Improvement activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
