Kiddie Academy of Gretna is looking for a Closing Supervisor and Lead Preschool teacher to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children.

In addition to the Lead Preschool faculty position, this position will be responsible for closing the academy at 6:30pm, including supervising employees, maintaining classroom ratios, and assigning the closure of classrooms for the day.

**We understand how important following a classroom ratio is to fostering a successful learning environment for students and teachers. Holding a Lead Teacher position at Kiddie Academy of Gretna includes planning, implementing and assessing lessons and educating students. We give you the planning time within your week to ensure you are able to plan your lessons efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an associate degree in ECE, Elementary Education, or an education-related field, required.
• Previous supervisory experience, preferred.
• Previous experience teaching in a classroom, required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, required.
• Previous experience teaching children under the age of 12, required.
• Strong communication skills, required.
• Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices, required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Kiddie Academy curriculum within a complete teaching plan
• Teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills
• Organize learning material and resources
• Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
• Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
• Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
• Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
• Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
