Hanover Foods Corporation located in Hanover PA is currently seeking a Closing Machine Operator position on 2nd shift. This position is primarily responsible for starting and stopping the closing machine and other assignments related to the closing machine.

Primary responsibilities

• Starts and stops the closing machine, as required, to ensure continuity of operation.
• Feeds lids into magazine of the capper and inspects the lids when necessary.
• Checks for properly filled and sealed containers.
• Responsible for physically lifting up to 40 pounds, as required.
• Keeps area clean and in accordance with good manufacturing/housekeeping practices.
• Adheres to common safety practices and rules including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required.
• Responsible for reporting any safety concerns immediately.
• Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
• Should not leave work area unless given permission by Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the cope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Leadperson.
