Clinical Systems Analyst (Full Time – Exempt):

Job Summary: Responsible for clinical information systems application implementation and management, and the connectivity and interfacing of other clinical information systems outside the primary hospital information system. The Analyst, under general direction, assists in assessing, planning, building, installing, maintaining and documenting various aspects of clinical information systems. The Analyst also supports efforts to re-engineer and improve and adapt processes to complement information system applications. The Analyst identifies problems and develops solutions through coordination and collaboration among clinical areas, Information Systems, and ancillary departments, and by adapting and configuring applications to meet needs. The Analyst needs to be knowledgeable in various aspects of Information Systems capabilities, terminology, processing, and end user equipment, workflows, and processes. The Analyst must be able to assess customer education needs and provide training as necessary in effective use of information systems applications. The Analyst provides on-call and department operational support as needed. Also, the analyst completes other assignments based on ability or need, and actively participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree required or minimum of 3 years full-time working experience in clinical setting and 1 year prior experience as an analyst supporting clinical applications, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and knowledge.
  • Nursing or ancillary experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical equipment typically used in patient care such as monitors, dispensing, etc. is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with the primary clinical system vendor applications is highly preferred.
  • Has demonstrated or documented organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

Senior Clinical Systems Analyst (Full Time – Exempt):

Job Summary: Assesses, plans, configures, implements, maintains, and documents electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical applications. Manages efforts to improve and adapt workflows and processes that adhere to the EMR model system and align with current best practice standards. Coordinates and collaborates among clinical areas, Information Technology Services, and ancillary departments, to resolve EMR and clinical application issues. Assesses customer education needs, organizes and provides training and support the effective use of information systems applications. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of EMR and clinical applications capabilities, functions, configuration, end user equipment, workflows, and clinical processes. Provides a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and optimizes the users’ experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or suitable work experience.
  • 5 years working experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 5 years’ experience as an analyst supporting healthcare with demonstrated understanding of clinical practices.
  • At least 1 year of EMR Project and/or EMR Team Lead experience preferred
  • Must complete all required application course work and obtain applicable EMR certification within three months of assignment.
  • Previous experience with primary healthcare EMR system vendor is preferred.
  • Nursing or ancillary experience preferred.

Pay: $30.91 - $41.51 per hour
