West Central Behavioral Health, the non-profit community behavioral health center serving lower Grafton County and Sullivan County, New Hampshire, is embarking on a four-year, transformational effort to become a federally-recognized Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. This will enable West Central to continue to provide high quality, person- and family-centered mental and substance use disorder services to 10,000 underserved individuals of all ages, including our veterans, regardless of their ability to pay.

West Central Behavioral Health is seeking applicants for the Clinical Supervisor position for our Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation (MPR) Peers in both the Lebanon and Claremont NH sites. The individual will be responsible for the management of a team of dedicated individuals. This includes hire, onboard, supervise, coach, train, and manage performance.

The Clinical Supervisor participates in development of program activities, problem-solve issues and system barriers impacting the delivery of care, and utilization review activities. The Clinical Supervisor manages the overall flow of client care and assigns cases to team members. Responsible for ensuring staff meet all clinical documentation and productivity goals, accurate and timely billing.

The individual provides services and support to staff members as needed. The Clinical Supervisor will provide some direct services to clients.

Responsibilities (not a complete list):

  • Provides individual and/or group supervision for staff.
  • Provides consultation and support to staff members when acute clinical problems or emergencies arise. Assists in their short-term resolution.
  • Manages staff time and case assignments in an effort to support the broadest service capacity possible with available resources and to meet contractual and/or fidelity obligations.
  • Tracks and evaluates workload volumes of their staff and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Tracks and evaluates staffing levels to best meet program/departmental priorities.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources in the employee’s life cycle.


Essential Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a human service field and one year of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree accumulated MH/DD/SAS experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling (Preferred); or
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and two years of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree accumulated MH/DD/SAS experience or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, post bachelor’s degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.

Required skills:

  • Skills and competence to establish supportive, trusting relationships with persons being served in the program.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and agency.
