The position of Clinical Professional will cover Psychologists (LP, LPA) or Behavior Analysts/Licensed Psychologists (BCBA/LPA or BCBA/LPA) who will provide billable direct clinical services to consumers within ASNC based on latest and most effective research, improving clinical capacity of all ASNC programs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Design of behavioral interventions, habilitative programming, and LifeLong Interventions within the Clinical Services Department following framework for appropriate assessments, protocols, formats, and professional standards. Provide training and consultation as needed, working with families, MCOs, Services, ARS, Human Rights Committee, Clinical Director, Associate Director – Clinical & Education, and other ASNC departments and personnel. etc.

  • This particular position will primarily provide behavioral consultation in the Triad region (Greensboro area)

  • Implementation, training, and oversight of best practice and emerging practice protocols throughout agency delivery

  • Work with ASNC staff to advocate for appropriate clinical practice for individuals with ASD within designated arenas.

  • Other duties as determined by Supervisor and in support of the mission of the organization

Work hours fluctuate based on client, family, and staff needs.


This position requires demonstrated knowledge and application of behavioral/psychological principles, theories, methods and procedures especially in the area of autism spectrum disorders and disabilities/developmental disabilities. Experience in functional analysis and intervention with individuals who have challenging behavior disorders. Experience in teaching and maintaining functional replacement skills. Demonstrated effective staff training and management strategies, and ability to relate appropriately to clients and staff members. A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, according to state law and regulations and professional standards. Current Licensure and/or professional certification required at the appropriate level. Must hold or be able to hold licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Psychological Associate or Licensed Psychologist, under provisions specified by the Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270), even if a BCBA.

Must be eligible for credentialing within the MCOs. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Clinical Professionals must hold one or more of the following credentials/licenses:

LP: The individual must hold a PHD, Psy.D., or Ed.D. in psychology and must be licensed to practice psychology within the state of North Carolina. License-eligible is not sufficient. Concurrent BCBA-D certification is encouraged but not required. Person shall have at least two year’s professional experience in working with clinical practice with individuals with ASD, program management, inclusive of direct field experience in supporting/coaching/mentoring individuals with ASD/IDD. Experience and knowledgeable of implementing evidence-based practices including but not limited to ABA, PRT, and others.

LPA: The individual must hold a masters-level degree and must be licensed to practice psychology at the licensed psychological associate (LPA) level within the state of North Carolina. License-eligible is not sufficient. Must be willing to maintain and adhere to a supervision contract with an LP within ASNC. Concurrent BCBA certification is encouraged but not required. Person shall have at least two year’s professional experience in working with clinical practice with individuals with ASD, program management, inclusive of direct field experience in supporting/coaching/mentoring individuals with ASD/IDD. Experience and knowledgeable of implementing evidence-based practices including but not limited to ABA, PRT, and others.
