The Clinical Educator is responsible for coordinating, planning, evaluating and providing education activities and orientation programs to nursing staff. Updates and facilitates nursing competencies, policies and procedures and special projects as assigned. The Clinical Educator will serve as a resource to nursing leadership, staff and preceptors in the areas of nursing process, clinical knowledge and skills.

Education Requirements

• BSN or Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
• MSN or Master's Degree in related field preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years recent experience as a practicing registered nurse or adult nursing educator.

License Requirements

• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Skill Requirements:

• Able to communicate well with customers (employees, volunteers, MDs and their personnel, managers, peers, community groups, and individuals) both verbally and in writing: able to hear normal conversational tones and read normal
• Able to speak clearly and fluently in
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in nursing practice and knowledge of adult learning principles.
• Demonstrated interest in professional associations and other sources of career and knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with individuals and
• Demonstrated self-direction, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and
• Able to use powerpoint, excel and word
