Job description
Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:
1. Responsible for the provision of therapeutic counseling services to identified program clients. Provides effective supervision to program therapists who provide trauma informed and strengths based individual, family, couples or group counseling services to program clients and stabilization and consultation services to the family members and others involved with the client.
2. Responsible for assigning work to staff and ensuring it is performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance when necessary.
3. Handles all crisis situations and client and employee complaints with sensitivity and expedience, makes independent decisions and consults with supervisory chain and internal and external business partners, when necessary , to resolve the matter.
4. Responsible for the hiring, coaching, supervising, training and development, discipline and evaluation of staff performance.
5. Ensures staff maintain up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.
Facilitates the program's quality assurance process and file review; ensures corrections on files are made and provides recommendations for continuous quality improvement to the program director
6. Caries a client caseload; effectively engages individuals, youth and families experiencing behavioral health issues and psychosocial stressors in the therapeutic process. Completes mental health assessments as appropriate utilizing a systems framework and trauma informed approach among other modalities. Demonstrates a high level of competence and expertise in providing clinical services; providing a variety of different clinical activities/approaches to meet the client's individual needs. Provides short and long-term case management/counseling services as well as stabilization and support services to individuals and families needing specialized intensive case management and behavioral health services.
7. Ensures all insurance billing for client services is recorded properly and follows the applicable regulations for collections of co-pays, deductible and subsidized fees. Ensures appropriate documents are verified and information is submitted according to program protocol and agency policy.
8. Provides leadership in the implementation of new programs and execution of new grants and contracts as well as working cooperatively to enhance the working environment, processes and procedures of the program.
9. Evening and weekend hours required to meet client needs.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Relevant Education:
Preferred: MSW
Minimum: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology

Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 5 years experience
Minimum: 3 Years 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals, youth and families Including Clinical Supervision

Certification/Licensure:
Preferred: N/A
Minimum: LCSW or LCPC
