Ward Clerk -Residency
Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will contribute to comprehensive clinical patient care by providing for accuracy, legibility and completeness in preparing and maintaining records.
Primary Tasks:
You will greet, direct and give information to patients, visitors and other staff.
You will maintain appointment system.
You will answer telephone, take messages, and transfer calls.
Update non-medical patient information in the computer.
You will monitor and replenish supply of all forms and non-medical supplies in the area.
You will receive supplies according to hospital policy.
Complete accurate transcription of orders.
You will call patients for follow-up, missed appointments.
Take specimens to the Lab using proper infection control practices.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
You will report to Residency Management.
Required Education and experience:
MINIMUM
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge and sensitive to patients' rights
Maintain confidentiality in matters about patients, physicians, staff and hospital
