Position Summary: Performs administrative tasks and activities to support Latitude's claim-handling teams. Individual team member responsibilities may vary. This position may work remote or at the corporate office in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Example Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Order Reports – order police reports, fire reports, or public record searches when requested. File reports when received.

  • Client System Updates – obtain information or documents from client systems and/or load Latitude information into client systems.

  • Mail – open, sort and distribute inbound mail, handle overnight shipping and outbound mail.

  • Office Support – monitor and maintain appropriate levels for office supplies, equipment and other materials. Complete light kitchenette cleaning and organization. Print labels, handle postage and perform other general support

  • New Claim Entry – enter new claim information into Latitude systems when received from clients via email or another channel.

  • Telephone– answer phone, answer basic questions, take messages or transfer callers to other departments or employees.

  • Documents - Process documents; receive, sort, maintain and update filing. Scan, sort, fax and photocopy information to maintain digital files. Work with spreadsheets and company systems to process and maintain records.

  • Projects – complete support projects when assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • One year experience in an office setting

  • Read, write and speak English

  • Microsoft Office applications

  • Type 45+wpm

  • Employment is contingent upon the employee maintaining adequate bandwidth for their home Internet as determined by Latitude's IT department. A wired Internet service provider and a wired workstation network connection is preferred and may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree

  • Data entry experience

  • Insurance industry experience
