Function:
As a Claims Analyst at TII, you understand the importance of timely and accurate review and assessment of our insureds' claims, seeing each one through to resolution in accordance with documented procedures and service level agreements (SLAs). You are equally comfortable working independently and in collaboration with the Team. Your passion for excellent delivery and empathy for the customer are the backbone of your professionalism.

What you will do:
  • Review, assess, and process claims with adhering to established (SLAs)
  • Consistently provide high-level customer service through adherence to documented procedures
  • Serve as a customer advocate in all interactions to provide an outstanding customer experience
  • Corresponds through verbal/written communication with policyholders, claimants, and travel advisers to gather pertinent information to support claim decision
  • Deliver complete, timely, and accurate work in accordance with Department metrics
  • Demonstrate reliability (attendance, punctuality, time management)
  • Assume accountability for independent management of your work queue to deliver complete, timely, and accurate work
  • Recognize fraud and subrogation opportunities and refer to appropriate expert
  • Show respect for co-workers and external contacts, including customers, agents, and third-party providers
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive influence in support of the Team’s goals
  • Express yourself as a leader through willingness to put forth ideas to improve Department performance
  • Strive to continuously develop and refine your skills as a Claims professional
  • Participate in Operations and Company-wide initiatives (Focus Groups, Pilots, System Enhancements)

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner appropriate to the audience via phone, email, and in writing
  • Active listening skills
  • Solid knowledge of principles and processes for claim examination, evaluation, and disposition
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to adjust readily to multiple demands and constituencies, shifting priorities, and rapid change
  • Willing to accept constructive feedback
  • Strong computer literacy with demonstrated keyboard skills, solid knowledge of technology used for claims administration, and familiarity with Microsoft office software and Cloud base systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Prior Claims or Customer Service work preferred
