A professional and technical staff of 24 employees enables our firm to provide land surveying and civil engineering services to a variety of clients in Miami-Dade and
Broward Counties. Our services include all types of land surveys, condominium surveys, platting, and engineering designs for paving, drainage and grading improvements, water and sewer systems, and environmental permitting. We have performed surveying and engineering services for thousands of shopping centers and malls, corporate centers, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, schools, parks, sports venues and quarries. In addition, we have performed extensive work on over 300 condominium projects across the state.

One of our firm’s strengths is its ability to obtain timely governmental approvals of our projects. Having worked with the City, County and State reviewing agencies for 40 years, the principals and employees of Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. are familiar with the permitting requirements, procedures, and agency personnel whom can help expedite the permitting process through the many local agencies having jurisdiction.

Job Description:

Fortin, Leavy, Skiles, Inc. is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Construction Project Manager to be stationed at a job site in Bal Harbour, FL and occasionally work at our North Miami Beach, FL office.

The Civil Engineering Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing a long- term project at a site currently under construction in the Village of Bal Harbour, FL, including coordination and attending daily in-person meetings with clients, contractors, architect, other design consultants and/or Bal Harbour Village and Miami-Dade County officials, preparation of sketches with Bluebeam for coordination with construction team, responding to RFI’s, engineering permit processing, performing daily site inspections and preparing inspection reports of engineering items installed during construction including paving, drainage, grading, water, sewer and signage items, checking shop drawings, and preparing weekly reports/log of pending engineering permits and engr. items to be installed. We are looking for someone who has a good knowledge of both civil engineering and construction. Occasional night site inspections will be required.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
· Minimum of 5 years experience in Civil Engineering in South Florida
· Strong computer skills required including Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Word and Excel
· Construction project management experience is a plus
· Must be a team player who is also a self-starter and can work independently
· Must be a multi-tasker with excellent communication, planning and organizational skills in order to meet project deadlines
· Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
