A Church Engagement Coordinator for Agape Ranch is primarily responsible for coordinating, facilitating, leading, and growing the events and programs by working with our current community partners and developing new partners.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Planning and coordination of the following programs and its activities:
  • CarePortal (CP)
  • On-going management
  • Stand Sunday
  • Bed Build
  • Agape Acts
  • Facilitate the effective management of programs according to the organization’s standards and work within the operational budget of each program.
  • Equip church leaders to understand how to engage their congregations, navigate the child welfare system, and build a culture of caring for the most vulnerable.
  • Create opportunities to present Agape Acts and/or CP ministries during church presentations.
  • Recruit new churches, shepherd existing churches as their Agape Acts and/or CP ministries develop, and maintain relationships with agency partners.
  • Provide timely and effective response to inquiries or questions from Church/Community Relations team members in the engagement and support process.
  • Provide timely and effective communication of the needs of children and families to appropriate partners .
  • Provide ongoing training and support of Agape Ranch staff and leadership.
  • Track program results.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Support growth and program development.

CarePortal

  • Identify potential requesting agencies and facilitate agency enrollment.
  • Monitor and manage follow up on the needs posted in CP.
  • Regularly encourage and monitor Church Point Persons and Community Champions contacts through email, phone, or in person.
  • Share pertinent and compelling information and stories regarding the use of CP to various teams and churches through periodic reports.
  • Report issues and recommend enhancements to the CP Director.
  • Empower and coach Church Point Person(s) and host regular gatherings to form active Church Communities that promote awareness of needs of children in crisis, engagement of Churches, and maintain and grow current active Church CP ministries.

Agape Acts

  • Communicate the needs of vulnerable children and the impact of the Agape Acts model, conveying details of all programs available to churches.
  • Connect with church lay leaders or staff members to establish introductory meetings and regular meetings, inviting new churches to attend.
  • Implement and maintain Agape Acts in assigned counties/regions.
  • Ensure all church advocates (identified staff/lay leaders) have completed and are comfortably competent in their training.
  • Lead advocates to sustain strong Agape Acts teams in their respective churches and manage their own Acts teams well, building strong relationships with advocates.
  • Act as a liaison between advocates and child placing agencies, matching church-based solutions to local needs.
  • Troubleshoot when advocates struggle with issues, and assist with goal setting to increase scope of impact.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of program management and development procedures.
  • Undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks.
  • Assist in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties.
  • Attention to detail-oriented and strong administration skills.
  • Comfortable and professional when working with diverse teams and community partners.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, strong follow through, and ability to receive and implement feedback.
  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading programs and events.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours.
  • This position requires sitting for extended periods of time while on the computer and telephone, bending to file, lifting approximately 30 pounds, and out-of-office public contact.

Good Faith Commitment

The first year of this job will be the training year as most of our events are done annually. We are looking for someone who is willing to give a good faith commitment for at least three years in order to prevent retraining each year. This is a wish of Agape Ranch, but not a requirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
