Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our Chiropractic Practice. As a Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Chiropractor in providing therapy services to our patients. You will be working under the supervision of the Chiropractor and will be responsible for providing various therapies to help our patients recover from injuries or illnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chiropractor in providing therapy services to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for therapy sessions
- Provide various therapies, including electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, spinal decompression/traction, class IV laser therapy, and/or radial pressure wave therapy to patients as directed by chiropractors
- Observe and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Assist patients with exercises and stretches as directed by chiropractors
- Maintain treatment rooms and equipment in a clean and organized manner
- Communicate with the Chiropractor and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care as needed
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and self-care techniques
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, handling patient intake forms, filing paperwork, scanning documents, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a therapy assistant or similar healthcare credential preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Physical ability to perform therapy techniques and assist patients with exercises and stretches
