DCCH Center for Children and Families is seeking Therapeutic Behavior Specialists for a full-time weekend schedule (Fri 3p-11p, Sat and Sun 9a-9p, Mon 3p-11p) and part-time weekend schedules (16 hours) in our Residential Treatment program. The primary responsibility of these positions is the therapeutic supervision of children with emotional and/ or behavioral difficulties. Our kids are between the ages of 6 and 15 and in the custody of the State of Kentucky. The children at DCCH have experienced trauma (physical, sexual, emotional abuse, neglect and/or abandonment) and it takes a special person who can help them heal and find hope in a brighter future. This position requires supporting children in crisis, providing therapeutic solutions to address challenging behaviors, and facilitating positive outcomes with children who sometimes have difficulty connecting with others. Candidates must be compassionate and have strong relationship building skills to support our Trauma Informed approach. Full time positions include a full benefit package, tuition reimbursement and optional pension plan. Also, not included in the hourly pay range for this position is a $2/hr differential for working the FT weekend scheduled hours or $1/hr differential for working the PT weekend scheduled hours, a $.40/hr increase after six months and a $500 bonus (FT) or $250 bonus (PT) after working nine months.
