Responsibilities:

  • Guide execution of transformational growth strategies, maximizing synergies across diverse business lines in a decentralized business model
  • Clearly articulate strategic objectives and required critical initiatives
  • Provide a roadmap of key decisions, actions and milestones, and regularly report progress
  • Design and deliver strategy deployment plans, including robust change management and communication programs to align and direct diverse, decentralized stakeholders
  • Drive technology deployments, including native tech, as integral components of strategy execution
  • Establish, measure and regularly report on critical leading indicators and KPI’s, including selection and use of consistent reporting system capture and report on KPI progress
  • Communicate and regularly evaluate dependencies between initiatives and actions
  • Drive key decisions and issue resolution to assure initiatives remain on track and deliver desired impact
  • Provide necessary data, analytics and insights to support decision making
  • Organize and facilitate strategy execution sessions with key business leaders
  • Orchestrate the organization’s business planning cycle, in close partnership with finance and other business line and division leaders
  • Lead change management and communication related to business transformation
  • Support board meeting preparation including material and reporting requirements

Internal Relationships

  • Reports to the COO / CAO
  • Leads a small team that includes project management, planning and communications resources
  • Maintains close connection with business line, functional leaders and Agency Partners
  • Cross functional, influential collaboration with business line and functional project managers / PMO’s, communications and change management resources, and data and analytics teams

Education/Experience/Key Capabilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required (advanced degree is strongly preferred) and 15 years of executive management experience in operations or consulting with proven expertise in leading change, improvement and integration
  • Demonstrated track record of driving transformational growth initiatives in a large, complex, highly diversified and decentralized organization
  • Executing growth strategies to deliver concrete operational benefits, including deployment of necessary processes, technology and administrative services
  • Experience taking diverse, disconnected components and tying them together for maximum impact
  • Proven successful deployment of owned technology with effective change management
  • Delivering cross-functional and cross-business line results through influence and data rather than authority
  • Financial services, Fintech and/or Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Translating strategies into concrete initiatives and action plans
  • Translating complex data sets into actionable insights
  • Delivering significant initiatives on time, with desired ROI and impact
  • Guiding diverse stakeholder groups to aligned direction and decisions
  • Strong operational and organizational planning background
  • Clear, concise and impactful communicator
  • Builds trusting relationships across diverse leaders and teams
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for driving change
