We are an electronic retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products headquartered in Austin, Texas with a passionate team of approximately 550 people. Our products are sold through TV on 80m homes through our live 24*7 broadcasts, our website, OTT, marketplaces, and social media.
We are the US retailing unit and subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited (VGL) which is a well-established vertically integrated company, founded in India about 35 years ago and listed on the Indian stock exchanges. The company has a turnover of $246 million (in the financial year 2022).
The other retailing units of VGL Group are in the UK (Shop TJC) and Germany (Shop LC, Germany). Together, all the units ship out approximately 50,000 pieces of products to their customers in the US, UK, and Germany every day. In addition to the companies in the US, UK, and Germany, VGL Group operates offices globally in India, China, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Chief Technology Officer - Role Overview
VGL is a house of home-grown world-class applications and platforms based on technologies including but not limited to .Net, MS ERP, Salesforce, AI-ML, and Marketing Automation.
We are looking for an experienced and result-driven CTO to join our dedicated Global IT team! As CTO of the group, you will be responsible to lead a very talented team of Salesforce, Shopify, AI & ML, .Net, Mobile, DevOps, ERP, Cloud, Security & Infrastructure, etc. You will lead all technology strategy/initiative for Digital, Ecommerce, and all business platforms of the group.

Job Responsibilities
I. Managerial Responsibilities

• Delivery of timely one to one’s (1, to 1’s) and preparing and delivering mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
• Promote professional and personal development of individual team members by utilizing computerized and other systems for tracking service, quality, setting productivity goals, training and coaching interventions and career opportunity programs, and for researching information and troubleshooting.
• Provide ongoing management and coaching.

II. Individual Responsibilities

• Responsible for company’s core technology roadmap, technology innovation, global infrastructure, application development, digital technology, business transformation and AI capabilities. Verticals include online retail, TV (OTT & OTA), call center operation, social integration, supply chain, sourcing, and manufacturing.
• Lead the application development and delivery initiatives that includes but is not limited to designing, development, implementations of retail/supply chain/ ecommerce solutions at enterprise level by showing a comprehensive business knowledge of retail & ecommerce domain.
• Make infrastructure strategies and closely work with our global Infra and NOC teams that oversee network, application, and data security, management, and governance, ensuring technical excellence, resiliency, and scalability in the architecting of infra solutions.
• Lead the AI initiatives and guide a team of data scientists and AI engineers to turn data into valuable insights and build solutions to provide personalized experience to consumers by delivering innovative solutions using statistical concepts and techniques such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning.
• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
• Providing technical leadership at the enterprise level and oversee overall technology development and utilization plan and manage all information technology teams and resources.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by manager.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering degree in relevant technical discipline with 10+ years of experience as CTO.
• Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts for developing objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.
• Experience in E-Retail/E-Commerce or another relevant industry.

Physical Requirements

• Moving around to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Pay: $80,958.11 - $259,841.44 per year
