Location: 101 Park Ave/NYC – coming into the office on a hybrid basis with Tuesday and Thursday being set days, the 3rd day is flexible.
Salary range: $160k - $200k
Position summary:
At Customers Bank you’ll have the chance to lead mission-critical projects end to end - from working on strategic planning and analysis to presenting your recommendations to Customer Bank’s leadership team and working cross-functionally with our Business Units, Finance & Accounting, and Senior Management.
This individual in this role is integral not only to overseeing key strategic initiatives, but also will wear several other hats including strategic growth planning, company-wide performance management, and business analytics. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally on some of our highest priority projects to help drive continued outsized and profitable growth. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment and have the opportunity to gain exposure to partnering with a variety of functions.
This is an opportunity to join have a direct impact on large scale strategic initiatives, as well as access and direct exposure to C-Suite Executives.
Key responsibilities:
  • Spearhead complex strategic projects and initiatives under the guidance and direction of senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement metrics to track progress of all strategic initiatives across the organization, highlighting significant milestones, roadblocks, opportunities, and 3rd party contingencies that may impact execution.
  • Ensure involvement of all key stakeholders and a “big picture” view is considered when driving project execution.
  • Master of external environment to continuously leverage expert data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical rigor, to manipulate, interpret, and study competitive intelligence and business data to translate into insights for strategy development. Leverages data assets, competitive intelligence, consumer/segment intelligence, economic/financial intelligence, and market trends to drive insights, hypotheses validation or refinement, and ultimately the answer to the case.
  • Excellent communicator with the confidence to proactively provide high quality updates to key stakeholders, leadership, and the Board of Directors.
  • Effectively collaborate across all lines of business to fully understand needs and the impact of proposed strategic initiatives.
  • Assist and communicate with business unit leads in decision-making, initiative management, and initiative implementation
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on the strategic initiatives handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications
Must haves:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the financial services industry with focus on strategic programs
  • Strong financial analysis skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, or equivalent work experience
  • Background in investment banking and/or corporate strategy
  • Experience or exposure to commercial banking, is a plus
