Job Summary

APTIM is hiring to perform Installation Support Services for the United States Army Garrison Redstone (USAG-R) Department of Public Works (DPW) with our partner SUNIK. This include Pollution Controls, Compliance, Environmental Restoration Services, Landfill Operations, Engineering & Work Management Services, Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and Service Orders for Facilities, Waste Water, Steam and Infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. General Responsibilities:

• Analyze water samples using the following techniques and instruments:
• Gas Chromatography (GC-FID/ECD/NPD/TCD/P&T)
• Ion Chromatography (IC)
• High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
• Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES)
• Atomic Absorption (AA)
• Total Organic Carbon (TOC)
• UV-VIS Spectrometry
• Wet Chemistry and Extractions
• Perform analytical instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist with bench-, pilot-, and field evaluations related to treatment of drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater.
• Assist with developing quality assurance project plans and health and safety plans for investigative field and laboratory studies.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and document analyses consistent with good laboratory practices.
• Generate written reports of high quality and suitable for journal articles.
• Prepare and make oral presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

• D./M.S./ B.S. in chemistry with 4-7 years of related experience.
• Computer networking experience is desired.
• Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• APTIM strongly recommends, but does not require, that its employees receive vaccination against COVID-19. We do require employees to provide information about their vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not.
