Job description
The Town of Alderson is seeking CERTIFIED Police Officers. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for enforcing and investigating laws and ordinances, enforcing orders from superior officers and performing routine police assignments. The Police Officer is responsible for patrolling the city, investigating traffic accidents and incident reports, writing police reports and taking statements from witnesses. There are also a variety of specialized assignments available to officers, including but not limited to investigating narcotics activity and police training classes.
Requirments
*Must be certifed in the state of West Virginia or a national accredited state.
Responsibilities:
- Identify illegal activity. Protect and serve the community, enforce laws, and provide basic aid. Communicate effectively with a variety of people, such as victims and other government representatives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
