A Cellar Lead job in Napa, California is available at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. In this role, you will support our cellar team by directing day to day assignments, lead the team on night shift during harvest season, and perform cellar related duties as needed. This is a full-time position and a member of Cellar leadership team, this role will require extended work hours during harvest.

Cellar Lead job responsibilities include:

  • Monitor all sanitation processes to confirm standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed and ensure cleanliness in the cellar.
  • Oversee all projects to provide support and guidance to cellar members.
  • Communicate expectations for every project.
  • Write work orders in a timely manner for equipment that needs repair and follow up on progress
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of inert gas, cleaning chemicals, wine additives, and empty barrels.
  • Create and maintain a good professional relationship with other departments.
  • Ensure proper training procedures and safety guidelines are followed.

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • Possess valid drivers’ license and responsible driving history.
  • Previous experience in cellar or production required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a history of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
  • Able to stand, squat, kneel, bend at the waist, and climb stairs repeatedly.

Your Compensation:

$31.37 - $37.98/hr. based upon relevant experience.
