Location: Based in New Town, North Dakota; housing provided for days on-duty

Rotation: 14 days on-duty; 14 days off-duty; ~12 hour shifts; alternate days and nights every other on-duty rotation; alternative scheduling options available for local applicants

Purpose: This position will primarily be responsible for loading and transporting sand and proppant from storage silos to oil and gas locations – typically intrastate. This position will also be asked to hot-shot tools, parts, equipment, and other freight to the oil & gas location as necessary. Less often this position will also be responsible for driving fracturing equipment from one location to another (intrastate or interstate) and assisting with rig-up or rig-down of the fracturing location. Note that most locations are compact and many lease roads are in poor condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and transport material (generally sand and proppant) from storage silos to oil & gas locations.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from ground coordinators; ensure that vehicle and un/loading equipment is properly positioned at all times.
• Load and transport equipment, machinery, or freight from vendor or company locations to service locations; “hot-shot” driving.
• Review all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate resources, verifying instructions and routes. Communicate with dispatch and other stakeholders frequently.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods as needed.
• Drive specialized CMVs (typically fracturing equipment) between client locations following Company approved convoy procedures.
• Spot/maneuver equipment into position on client location according to client & company safety standards
• Rig up / down treating lines, hoses, wellhead connections, etc. as needed
• Maintain driver logs in compliance with FMCSA requirements
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on company vehicles based on FMCSA requirements
• Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
• Regularly inspect cargo loads to ensure they are secure
• Work with maintenance team to schedule and/or perform routine preventative maintenance on vehicles.
• Attend safety and operations improvement meetings
• Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs in the district

• Comply with all government, industry and company regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment, while also minimizing the Company’s environmental footprint

Qualifications:

§ Class A CDL License

§ Insurable by company insurance plan based on driving record

§ Winter driving experience required; must be able to drive and work in extreme weather conditions

§ 2-3 years commercial driving experience preferred

§ Oilfield experience preferred

§ Endorsements preferred but not required
