Salary Range $80K-110K DOE


SUMMARY:

  • Manages all departments within Marketing including Database Marketing, Player Development, Player’s Club, Advertising, and Promotions/Events.
  • Manages design, production, and execution of planned marketing programs for all venues and administers all employees of the Marketing department.
  • The Director of Marketing reports directly to the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve property objectives.
  • Develops and executes marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Manages departmental marketing budgets.
  • Plans and oversees execution of departmental activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage.
  • Negotiates contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.
  • Communicates with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns.
  • Manages development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral material to support sales and marketing programs.
  • Analyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
  • Plans and conducts marketing research to identify opportunities to maximize sales/revenue.
  • Maintains customer database and approves the use of internal and external mailing lists.
  • Reviews analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts to recommend future product development.
  • Provides forecast, pro & post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.
  • Manages employee administration for all Marketing Department employees including, but not limited to, scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, hiring, terminations, etc.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
  • Oversees a staff of approximately 12-15 people including 1-3 direct reports. Develops marketing team and provides coaching and performance management as needed.
  • Provides marketing support for Food & Beverage, Hotel, Gaming Operations, Special Events


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree or equivalent; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Able to read, comprehend, and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures and maintenance instructions. Able to write routine simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and Employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in small units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Able to apply common sense, patience and understanding while carrying out detailed written and/or oral instructions. Able to deal with and present problem-solving ideas that involves concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Colorado Key Gaming License is required after no more than 6 months in position. Must be able to obtain a Colorado Support Gaming License prior to starting position.
