Job description

As a Cash Poster, you will be responsible for processing and posting all incoming payments for the company. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments to customer accounts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong data entry skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process incoming payments, including checks, electronic payments, and credit card payments.

• Ensure all payments are applied accurately to customer accounts.

• Reconcile payments received with customer invoices and account statements.

• Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.

• Communicate with customers regarding payment inquiries and payment discrepancies.

• Update and maintain customer records and payment information in the accounting system.

• Collaborate with the accounting team and the aging team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments.

• Prepare reports and summaries of payment activity as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.

• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a cash posting or accounts receivable role.

• Proficiency in data entry and accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP, preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
