New Freedom (NF) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs in its centralized location at I-17 and Peoria Avenue.
We are currently recruiting for a Cash/ Payment poster under the direct supervision of the Billing Manager, the Cash/payment poster position is responsible for posting all ERA and manual checks. Poster is responsible for balancing daily and notifying management of all short pay and trends during the posting process. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, must pay attention to detail and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily cash reporting
- Cash posting using Excel and company software programs.
- Post denials to patient accounts
- Assist other projects as needed.
- Assist other members of the team as needed.
- Working knowledge of EOB’s, EFT’s, and ERA’s
- Balance payments posted back to the original deposit amounts.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of Five (5) years of posting payments in a medical setting
- Understanding of insurance payments/ takebacks and adjustments
- Balancing of daily posting
- Meeting company minimum daily posting amounts
- Must have knowledge of AHCCCS guidelines for payment posting
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Must be punctual.
