Venture Forthe is a leading health care agency in Western New York that operates on the fundamental premise that every individual has the right to make their own choices; we advocate for the needs and goals of our clients. The clinical department at Venture Forthe focuses on HCBS/CORE programs under the direction of the OMH. The goal of the CORE/HCBS program derives around the focus of increased behavioral health and addiction recovery through an outpatient system. This focus is used by giving clients the tools, resources, and skills they can utilize to help in their recovery journey. We have helped our clients obtain higher education degrees, grow relationships with family members and regain the ability to be fully independent in the community.

We are currently hiring for a CASAC Staff Support in the Niagara Falls Area! The support staff will work directly with the HCBS supervisor, Clinical leads and CORE staff to ensure that all department best practices are consistently met. There are a wide range of responsibilities which will require the senior clinical support staff to engage with clinical leads, HCBS staff and clients across different regions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide HCBS and CORE services for clients as needed in person and remotely
  • Provide in person and remote supervision for CORE PSR and Peer staff
  • Instruct and monitor staff adherence to best practices and department policies
  • Communicate with staff regarding updates or other information between supervision meetings
  • Ensure that all visit documentation is accurate and timely
  • Provide support for technical issues with tablets, electronic health record system and escalate issues to clinical department leadership
  • Monitor staff and client utilization with reports and feedback from staff, clients or collateral
  • Responsible for approval and monitoring clinical department documentation processes
  • Complete audits on intake documents, service notes submitted daily
  • Coordinate with Clinical Leads to identify areas of improvement for individual staff or groups based on note audit recommendations
  • Collaborate on complaint & incidents with Clinical Leads
  • Maintain tracking process and related documentation for all complaints and incidents reported to the Clinical Department
  • Assist with investigation of complaints or incidents as assigned by Clinical Leads
  • Coordinate communication with clinical leads to VF departments such as HR or Compliance or external organizations
  • Assisting Clinical Dept leadership team in the development of workflows, documentation standards and inner agency standards/policies.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATION:

· Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable car.

· Ability to work independently and responsibly in the field

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) (Required)
  • At least on year of experience of providing adult BH services
  • Thorough knowledge of the scope of the CORE, HCBS program and NY OMH regulations
  • Ability to read and understand documents.
  • Ability to speak effectively and professionally with colleagues & employees.
  • Exceptional organizational writing, interpersonal skills & communication
