Immediate Availability: Weekdays, start time ~7am (hours may be adjusted upon your or client's need) location is Leander. MUST BE: Kind, patient, gentle. She needs help as she recovers from surgery and regains her strength. Your support is needed for all activities of daily living, plus help with meal preparation, driving for appointments, and light housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness of the house.

We are always looking for exceptional CNAs/Home Health Aides with a variety of different skills combined with an honest, trustworthy character and a good work ethic.

Our office is located in northwest Austin and we serve a large area from northwest Austin to Georgetown, Liberty Hill and beyond.

As a caregiver, you will assist people of varying conditions and levels of need in their home to help them live safely and independently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) for clients who are elderly or have had a recent surgery, injury or accident and require support at home
• Personal care assistance with activities of daily living to include showering/bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with instrumental activities of daily living to include light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and errands (groceries, driving client to appointments, etc.)
• Observe, report and document daily tasks following client's plan of care
• Escalate any unusual incidents, behaviors, or changes in status immediately to the Agency Supervisor and Manager
• Provide socialization and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Preferred: willingness to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (one year preferred)
• Ability to understand the written plan of care and all associated tasks for assigned shifts
• High School Diploma, active CNA license or experience as a Caregiver
• Demonstrated competency with durable medical equipment specific to individual client's needs to include a walker, wheelchair, hospital bed, and client lift devices – example: Hoyer Lift.
