Duration: 10 months

Brief Description of Duties:
SUNY Morrisville seeks a candidate to fill the Campus, Community, and Student Support Associate position. Reporting directly to the Campus Executive Director for the Norwich Campus.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Budget and monitor expenditures for campus tutoring services
Ensure students are aware of and utilize the tutoring center's resources.
Provide excellent phone and in-person customer service
Hire and recruit professional tutors
Take leadership for the organization and promotion of Fall and Spring Orientation sessions.
In conjunction with the academic advisor, guide students in course selection and degree offerings.
Participate in the planning and implementation of student success initiatives, workshops, orientations, and other programs.
Plan and organize campus-sponsored events and serve as the key contact for internal stakeholders.
Organizes the Welcome Desk area creating a pleasant environment for faculty, staff, students, and key stakeholders.
Supervises Welcome Desk and work-study students assigned to the Welcome Desk
Serve as a content creator for the college's three social media pages: FB, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Assists with college marketing and community initiatives.
Assists faculty and staff with campus recruiting and marketing efforts.
Provide operations support to the Executive Director and Coordinator of Advising and Accessibility Services

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required
1-2 years of experience in the area of Student Success/Academic Advisement
Some experience working with both traditional and non-traditional students
Experience with online course coursework
Experience with the professional use of social media.
Demonstrated experience in Word and Excel
Superb oral and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and other staff members
Ability to make balanced judgments and decisions
Ability to work well with individuals from diverse social and economic backgrounds with compassion
