Job Duties:

  • Receive inbound sales calls from customers; understand their storage needs and recommend an appropriate storage unit
  • Ability to overcome any objections in order to obtain a reservation for a storage unit or rent the unit over the phone
  • Work with existing customers by answering questions, taking payments and resolving concerns
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on rental reservations
  • Follow sales and service guidelines according to the type of call
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Perform duties assigned by Supervisor(s)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Customer centric
  • Sales driven with a can do attitude
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent verbal, phone, and email communication
  • Ability to build relationships, (both internal and external)
  • Good problem solving abilities.
  • Multi-tasking is a must

Requirements:

  • 1+ year(s) sales and/or customer service experience required
  • Call Center experience is a plus
  • Goal/quota centric mentality
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with the ability to listen
  • Above average computer skills
  • Customer focused and the ability to adapt to the customers’ needs
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • High school degree

Requirements to work from home:

This position is a remote position and we want to ensure you are set-up for success and are equipped with all the necessary tools to be successful. SmartStop will provide you with the following:

  • Two Computer monitors
  • Wired Keyboard
  • Wired Mouse
  • A headset to use for training and meetings that is/has:
    • USB
    • Dual ear
    • Noise-cancelling microphone

You will be required to supply the following:

Because you will be handling confidential client information, you must work from your home office. You cannot work in a public location (like a coffee shop or the library).

  • Must have a work environment free of distractions
  • Excellent Internet connectivity:
    • Internet access speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download - the faster the better!
    • Wireless and/or satellite Internet Service Providers are not compatible with our systems.
  • A quiet and distraction-free, secure place to work.
