Job Description


This position is paid through Augsburg University, and is contingent upon available funding.

The C3 Fellows Health Care Program manager will work for the Central Corridor Anchor Partnership’s (CCAP) C3 Fellows health care program, a collaborative program among healthcare and education partners located along the Green Line in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The program connects students to healthcare and assists students in gaining employment in their field of study while meeting the workforce needs of employers. Program partners include educational institutions Augsburg University, Metropolitan State University, Minneapolis College, Saint Paul College, St. Catherine University, and the University of St. Thomas and healthcare institutions Allina Health, Fairview Health Services, Hennepin Healthcare, and Regions Hospital/Health Partners.

The manager will work with career services staff at education institutions to set recruitment targets at each school, structure employer events at schools including interview and resume preparation, job fairs, and hiring events, and match C3 Fellows students with relevant positions at healthcare institutions. They will facilitate conversations to clarify partner expectations of the program’s success over an annual or multi-year time period. They will use regular check-ins and meetings with individual partners, the CCAP Workforce Work Group, and the CCAP Partnership to assess delivery on program and partner expectations. The manager will be based at Augsburg University but serves all of the CCAP C3 Fellows healthcare program partner institutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage collaborative partnerships among education and employer partners
  • Attend CCAP Workforce Work Group and CCAP Partnership meetings.
  • Collaborate with education and employer partners to define program goals, including student placements by school and by employer.
  • Work closely with education and employer partners to increase engagement in the program and define annual and longer-term program goals.
  • Develop and encourage strategic growth of recruitment into the C3 Fellows program by education partners’ career services offices.
  • Manage web, social media, and brand presence.
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot website issues and the online student resume bank.
  • Assist education and employer partners in marketing the C3 Fellows program at their institutions, including helping determine effective channels for reaching students.
  • Work directly with Fellows (or partner with college or university career center staff) to develop students’ resumes, interview skills, career goals and competencies.
  • Track and report on program data.
  • Develop data tracking framework in collaboration with partners.
  • Provide monthly progress reports to Central Corridor Anchor Partnership Workforce Work Group including number of placements, employer partner where student is placed, student degree program/area and school, total number of fellows, and program activities or events.
  • Provide quarterly updates to Central Corridor Anchor Partnership at partnership meetings, including progress toward annual goals.
  • Strategically assess and improve data tracking framework on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist as needed with grant applications for C3 Fellows program and grant reporting.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Local travel required. Must be on-site at partner campuses for recruiting and collaboration.
  • Typical work environment is an office.
  • Sedentary work for long periods of time.
  • Regular computer keyboard and phone use.
  • Infrequent lifting up to 5 lbs.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience working with students on career development or job skills development and job placement.
  • Experience working with higher education partners
  • Program development and management experience including successfully meeting goals or benchmarks.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including setting program or organizational direction.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and program coordination and planning.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups,
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient technical skills in website and database management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Training in program/project management.
  • Experience in recruiting or talent acquisition.
  • Experience working with healthcare organizations.
