Role: C&I Engineer

Start: ASAP

Duration: Full Time - Hybrid Schedule

Location: Plano, TX

Responsibilities:

• As an integration engineer, you will be responsible for remote commissioning and integration (C&I) work for on-going 4G LTE and 5G NR (NSA) project
• Remote integration of new 4G and 5G sites into the tier-1 operator’s network
• Migrate/rehome 4G and 5G sites from legacy OEM to new platform
• Interpret RF/IP CIQ, execute scripts on production EMS/OSS,
• Perform alarm checks, cell-state checks, parameter audits and submit daily reports for newly commissioned sites
• Minimize site down-time during migrations
• Escalate all trouble sites to the SME in a timely manner
• Work closely with RF field test team and support lock/unlock and tilt change requests
• Responsible for ensuring target run rates and quality assurance in high paced environment
• Schedule is a mix of day-shift and night-shift work

Qualifications:

• Experience with remote commissioning of 4G LTE sites
• Good understanding of cellular networks and their management systems
• Knowledge of 4G and/or 5G parameter configurations
• Familiarity with ENDC and neighbor lists
• Hands-on experience with EMS/OSS and Unix command line operations
• Familiar with eNB configuration changes, software/firmware upgrade, migration activities
• Skilled in MS Excel and able to maintain trackers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of education (associate degree) in an engineering discipline
• 2-5 years’ hands-on experience with 4G or 5G EMS/OSS platform
• Good Communication Skills
• Working knowledge of UNIX
• Telecom Field or RF Experience
• Understanding of Telecom/RAN
• Lastly and most important and an attitude and a willingness to learn
