Sager Culture and Position Description:

As a medium-sized company with over 400 employees located across North America, we have a high performing, family-oriented team working together in support of our customer first vision. We are looking for a detail oriented college graduate to fill our entry level Buyer/Planner role in our Middleboro, MA location. This position supports our Product Managers by performing various purchasing, asset and operations related tasks and requires strong spreadsheet experience preferably with a distribution, or manufacturing background. How you will spend your time:

  • The Buyer/Planner purchases products for demand and stock from assigned suppliers.
  • The Buyer/Planner will plan and pipeline inventory for low to medium complex products.
  • Proactively expedites backlog with factories.
  • Identifies and updates changes to the supplier open order reports.
  • The Buyer/Planner performs basic purchase order add and maintenance functions.
  • The Buyer Planner may assist Product Managers in maintaining inventory levels based on sales volume and forecasts, customers’ needs and Product Managers instructions.
  • Performs stock rotations and as defined in the supplier authorization agreements.
  • Assist Product Manager in supplier part number data -management in our system.
  • The Buyer/Planner works with ancillary departments (i.e. Accounts Payable, Warehouse) in resolving any issues or problems that would require Product Management department involvement.

We’re excited if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written.
  • The ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel.
  • The ability to manage large amounts of transactions on a daily basis.
  • Detail Oriented, collaborative, highly organized with ability to multi task.
