Job Responsibilities

Build Partnerships - Serve as the trusted advisor to specific Business Line and be the liaison to its internal partners (Information Technology, Project Management, Marketing, Learning & Development, Communications, etc.) and any external partners. Drive the Business Line in developing a comprehensive technology strategy, initiatives, and advancements that align with the evolving organization's needs and technology roadmap. Effectively communicate with the applicable Business Line to uncover their technology needs, while understanding the organization's IT landscape, to produce innovative solutions. Continually communicate with the Business Line on the status and progress of any Information Technology (IT) and/or Vendors changes, enhancements, or projects. Provide direction, prioritize, and set strategic and operational goals with the Business Line. Develop deep knowledge of the respective Business Line's functions. Push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets to meet business needs. Identify business issues, challenges, and areas of improvement to provide cost-saving, streamlined and optimized solutions.

Project Management - Drive results for the Business Line and across the organization, while ensuring progress is on schedule and the outcome is high quality. Work with the Technical Lead, Applications Administrator, Data Analyst, and other applicable contacts to ensure the solution of projects meets the requirements. Facilitate the Project Management of the Business Line's change requests, enhancements, and portfolio of small to medium-sized projects. Assist the Project Management staff with large projects by being the liaison and/or subject matter expert between the Business Line and Information Technology (IT). Maintain positive relationships with the Business Line, Information Technology (IT), and vendors by proactively setting expectations, coordinating information, and reporting project progress and risks. Keep management informed of key issues.

Align Purpose and Goals - Facilitate goal setting by communicating a shared purpose between the Business Line and the organization. Advocate as a champion of change for the Business Line's strategic goals, plans, and needs. Strategize with the Business Line to develop and explore new opportunities and future roadmaps by converging the organization's strategic direction into one set of objectives. Ensure the Business Line's initiatives are streamlined and aligned with organizational strategies, priorities and goals.

Drive Results - Partner with the Business Line and Leaders to identify opportunities, drive value and meaningful results. Effectively and efficiently communicate Business Line initiatives to the organization to drive organizational awareness, adoption, and education. Ensure the development efforts of the Business Line's initiatives create value by aligning with the strategic plans of the organization. Communicate the impact of the Business Line's initiatives by quantifying and articulating the realized value to the overall organization.

Leadership - Manage with the intent to motivate, train and develop. Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding progress of work and performance. Make well informed decisions, demonstrate initiative, use sound judgment, exhibit autonomy, and execute.


Job Specific Requirements

  • Experience in managing and supporting core business systems.
  • Proficiency with contemporary technology integration strategies.
  • Working knowledge of IT relationship management or project portfolio management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to balance expectations with business requirements.
  • Knowledge of data analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas and issues in a simple and straightforward manner.
  • Aptitude to set targets for service delivery and drive accountability for continuous improvement.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be personable, approachable, enthusiastic and a relationship builder.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage organizational change.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with senior management personnel.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
  • Staff management experience a plus. ITIL Certification is a plus.

Experience

Preferred
  • 5 year(s): Demonstrated experience in information technology in a Business Relationship Management, Business Analyst, or Project Manager capacity.

Education

Preferred
  • Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field
