The Business Process Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes within the client’s IT department. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify areas for improvement, designing and implementing process changes, and ensuring that process changes are effective and sustainable. Bowhead seeks to network with a Business Process Analyst to join our team in supporting our Marine Corps customers in Stafford, Va.
The Business Process Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes within the client’s IT department. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify areas for improvement, designing and implementing process changes, and ensuring that process changes are effective and sustainable. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, process optimization, and a strong understanding of IT systems and technology.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify areas for process improvement
- Conduct process analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
- Design, document and implement process changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure that process changes are effective and sustainable by monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators
- Work with IT teams to develop and implement technology solutions that support process changes
- Communicate with business stakeholders to ensure that process changes are understood and adopted
- Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials
- Provide ongoing support to business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that processes are operating effectively
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT business analysis, process optimization or a related role
- Strong understanding of business process modeling and optimization techniques
- Experience with process analysis and mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart or ARIS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and IT teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience working in the IT industry
- Knowledge of agile frameworks, a plus.
