Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst within our Urology division. This position will be based out of Northfield, IL headquarters and will offer a flexible hybrid model of work.

Under general supervision, perform intermediate level data research and financial analysis to support business operations and present findings to manager or project leader. Plan and prepare business, financial and data analysis. Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES



Coordinate divisional cross reference process and pricing boundaries.

Work with PMs as needed, create consistent division pricing.

Report back on large opportunities to Business Development and Divisional leadership and standardize pricing strategies.



Under general direction from leadership, compile, analyze, and report on GPO and RFP bids as well as audit existing.

Create a repository of responses to common questions, compile pricing and provide summaries to sales of % of usage crossed, SKU reduction, Savings %, etc.

Follow process from quote to completion on division side.

Audit existing GPO penetration, GM%, ROI, and track and measure opportunities and growth so business plans can be formed


Develop and analyze scorecards, providing insight into trends or unusual performance.


Monitor implementations and on boarding of new accounts and comprehensive conversions of existing accounts.

Prepare analysis reports and tracking tools for implementation projects to communicate availability dates and any potential service issues.

Manage transition of lost business away from Medline to smooth conversions.

Perform DED analysis, transfers, stock bleed down, pricing checks, and escalation of issues.

Lead and participate in internal planning calls. Serve as central point of contact for conversions serving to streamline communication.

Prepare executive summaries of information obtained throughout trials.

Create account-specific product information request (e.g. FDA registration, white papers, references, etc.).



Monitor for data accuracy, timeliness and integrity in data used in analysis and reporting. Communicate to appropriate personnel if data inaccuracies exist.



Ensure follow-up so that analysis and reporting outcomes are reviewed and implemented.

Education


  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Relevant Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
Additional
  • Ability to analyze data and reporting in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Ability to determine ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Access (for example: designing and creating simple queries, modifying data types, adding dates, working with required fields and/or creating labels).
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience in an analytical role in a sales environment.
Additional
  • Experience with SAP, Access or FoxPro.
