The Patient Care Services Business Manager is a member of the administrative operations team and supports the activities of the financial administration, vendor management, supply chain expenses, and efforts to increase overall patient care services contribution margin in all assigned Patient Care areas (primarily inpatient nursing) by reducing total health care costs while providing high quality patient care.
Some of the responsibilities will include data analytics, financial reporting in support of optimal patient care practices, special projects with administration, and the development of capital and operating forecasts, short and long term.
We are currently looking for a Patient Care Services Business Manager to join our team to support the Inpatient Nursing & Ancillary Departments.
Position Highlights:
  • Moffitt Cancer Center is a NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with 20 Ambulatory Clinics in 4 locations, hosting 20,000 new patients each year.
  • The inpatient nursing & ancillary clinics are focused on providing exemplarily care each day to every patient that is being seen and treated at the Cancer Center.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • 7 years of experience with financial oversight in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with Cerner, or another Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Experience with Soarian
  • Ability to develop scenarios and models in Excel with links to raw data.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop reports for Financial Operations, including payroll, distribution of revenue and expense reports, revenue and expense forecasting, productivity and variance analysis.
  • Develop and support programs that analyze trends and collect data while creating and implementing action plans, collaborating with stakeholders and customers.
  • Act as a steward in terms of benchmarking, industry trends, capital evaluation and reporting (ROI), supply chain and revenue opportunities.
  • Serve as a stakeholder and data resource for ongoing initiatives
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure inter-departmental cohesiveness, proper implementation of process improvements, efficiencies and other organizational initiatives.
Credentials and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study.
  • 5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance in a hospital, stand-alone multidisciplinary clinic system or ambulatory surgery center setting.
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisor role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including experienced with pivot tables, functions, filters and data sorting in Excel.
