Overview:

Edgewater Federal Solutions is looking for a forward-thinking, results-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer to join the Corporate IT team.

This individual will take a lead in developing Business Intelligence Solutions for all corporate operations and provide basic training of resources to power users. Initiatives may include executive dashboards, metrics and targets as well as historical trending of key performance indicators. Data may be pulled from a variety of different internal and external systems and data sources through data exports, APIs and web services.

This position requires someone who can work one-on-one with key stakeholders within the company to develop solutions for required metrics reporting from our various corporate systems.

Responsibilites:

Major duties:

• Provide expertise in requirements gathering, design, coordination, testing and support of customer BI reporting and analytic needs.
• Create data visualizations that represent needs of business stakeholders across various lines of business
• Develop standard reports as needed from line of business systems
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft PowerBI platform
• Provide full lifecycle development and support using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for corporate departments' PowerBI reporting requirements
• Provide training to power users for use and management of PowerBI
• Assist in consolidation strategies for corporate metric reporting using PowerBI
• Work with Edgewater vendors and data source partners to establish methods for data extract, updates, consolidation and visualization
• Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards, best practices, and trends

Minor duties:

• Provide support for additional corporate development needs using tools like Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint and other tools as needed
• Review and recommend additional tools that can provide value to Edgewater corporate technology needs related to reporting, process improvement and automation
• Act as a Tier 2 point of escalation within the Corporate IT department for matters pertaining to SharePoint/PowerBI services and integrations
• Act as a mentor to Tier 1 members of the Corporate IT department that are pursuing education and skills development in PowerBI

Qualifications

• Must be U.S. Citizen
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in related field with 2-4 years of experience, however in lieu of a degree relevant 8 to 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence Analysis or Development is acceptable
• Some travel may be required
• 2 years or more experience developing data visualizations and custom reports with Microsoft PowerBI
• 2 years or more of experience utilizing data integration methods, APIs and/or web services to support BI initiatives
• Foundational understanding of Business Intelligence methodology and best practices
• Strong knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) within PowerBI environment
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and data visualizations
• Experience with writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with designing and building applications
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases as well as data storage and cloud data services for PowerBI
• Experience with Unanet, Paylocity, and/or iCIMS reporting tools is a plus
• Preferred experience with Microsoft PowerAutomate or PowerApps
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong Analytic Skills and experience working with business users to define requirements related to data visualizations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
