Position Type: Sales and management in railroad services industry.

Pay Structure: Base + commission. We start at anywhere from $50,000-$75,000 depending on experience as far as base pay is concerned. Our commission program is a 1% gross from all revenue generated by seller. Revenue generated via any standing contracts will be awarded on a discretionary basis.

Description: Seller must be willing to travel extensively, frequent for lengthy consecutive days away from home, 24 hours on call and availability. Position is in a fast paced, rewarding sector of the transportation industry. BDM must be willing to put themselves in areas that have seen a recent catastrophic type events. Train derailments, Industrial disasters, and weather-related events such as floods, hurricanes, and winter storms are where position holder will find themselves frequently.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and above preferred but not mandatory. Railroad, construction, and other Industry experience taken into consideration. BDM’s may be required to do some light lifting, be on site for extended periods at a time, and drive above normal amounts of miles. Computer skillset is basic. Excel, Outlook, Word, & Power Point. Position could see BDM needing to provide a presentation to anywhere from 10-50 people in a group setting. Must have clean MVR and able to pass all pre-employment screenings. Must be able to work in a team environment with B&P’s operations personnel. Applicant needs to be “self” motivated and disciplined, and extremely flexible and adaptable to change.

Experience: Ideal position holders have successful records of surpassing sales goals in railroad services, equipment rental and sales, industrial products and services sales, project management, or any combination of the above. Similar sales success in other arenas of sales are acceptable as well.
